  • A Memory from Seven and a Half Years Ago

Last Sunday, I had a terrible experience when my iPhone’s battery malfunctioned while I was hiking. So, I decided to carry a spare phone with me on future hikes. It had to be as small and light as possible. So I picked my iPhone 6s from among my old phones.

As I prepared this spare phone, I found some pictures and videos from a hike I had gone on almost eight years ago.

It was on one of the easternmost islands of mainland China, about 338 kilometers away from Shanghai. I remember I got really seasick on the boat and the weather was not very good.

But the view and the color of the sea were so beautiful. I think it could be in my top 2 favorite sea views in China. The other one is in Lingshui, Hainan, by the way.

I edited a short video with these pictures and videos last night. You can watch it here.

Maybe you will enjoy the views too.

Last year, I tried to spend half an hour here and 15 minutes on Duolingo every day. Furthermore, I also participated in group chat lessons in Cambly for an hour every week. (更多…)

    Christmas in Shanghai

Every year in December, Shanghai is filled with the spirit of Christmas. Maybe this is something unique to China. Even my friend in Guangzhou asked me a few days ago, “How about the decorations in big shopping malls this year?” (更多…)

    A Promise to Myself

A few months ago, I compared my English score on Duolingo with one of my English-learning friends. At that time, I just had a score of around 90. To encourage myself, I said that if I reached a score of 105, I would dub one of my videos instead of just adding subtitles. (更多…)
